What is Bowen Therapy?

Developed by Tom Bowen (1916-1982) of Geelong, the technique is based on the cross fibre rolling manoeuvre of fascia. This connective tissue network throughout the body embraces muscles, ligaments, tendons, nerves, bones, arteries & veins. Applied at specific locations, the moves facilitate muscle release & relaxation, improves circulation, removal of cellular waste & delivery of nutrients & oxygen to aid tissue healing.

Consultation

Mobile consultation provides treatment at your home where you and/or your horse will be the most comfortable. Results seen after the first treatment can be maximized with one or more follow up treatments after a week.

A Doctor’s diagnosis, or in the case of your horse, a Veterinary diagnosis, is required prior to treatment if either are experiencing acute pain or symptoms of illness.

Over all wellbeing will be improved with maintenance treatments provided every 4 – 6 weeks. Please call or email to discuss treatment options, fees and ask about the referral program.
